Small crafts during mid-term vacation: painting a traditional Chinese painting fan to give to a friend
This time when I went home during the mid-term vacation, I tried something I always wanted to do but didn't - painting a Chinese fan. When I was little my grandfather told me how to draw Chinese paintings and I learned for a long time, but I never had the chance to show it, this time I followed up the opportunity to give a gift to a friend also to see if I had forgotten! 😏
I painted two fans, one with a plum blossom landscape and one with peonies. These two paintings are simple but full of traditional flavor. Holding the brush and applying color little by little, the whole person was quiet, as if I had returned to the good old days when I had always wanted to paint without any distractions!
These two fans are for my friends, I hope they will like them, and I hope I can pass on the heart of handmade crafts and the beauty of traditional culture to them. If you want to try your hand at crafting and calm your mind, painting Chinese fans is really a good choice!
